Dr Casanova is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  After serving as a Petty Officer in US Navy and attending Medical school at St Georges University School of Medicine, Dr Casanova completed her residency training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and was appointed Chief Resident  She continued her training at the University of Miami with sub-specialty fellowship training in Vascular Neurology/Stroke.

She has been the Stroke Medical Director at HCA Florida JFK Hospital since 2014 and a physician with Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches since 2013.  She serves on the Board of the Florida Stroke Registry. She is also an active member of the Palm Beach Medical Society serving on the Membership Committee.  Dr Casanova also sits on the Medical Executive Committee for HCA Florida JFK Hospital, and was recently appointed to the American Heart Association Palm Beach County Board of Directors. 

Dr Casanova loves to spend her time off with her husband and 2 children - Lilly and Ryan, and her large Cuban American family.
