Sheri Keehn is a board certified Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). A south Florida native with deep roots in Lake Worth and Boynton Beach area, she brings both clinical expertise and a strong connection to the local community.
She earned her bachelors of arts from the University of Florida in 2003 before returning to pursue her passion for nursing and healthcare. She also has a background in education, which enhances her ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patience, ensuring they feel informed and confident in their care.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she spent more than 10 years working as a pharmacy technician at Eckerd drugs and JFK Medical Center where she developed a strong foundation in pharmacology and patient care. After earning her nursing degree in 2010, she continued at JFK medical center as a registered nurse, gaining extensive experience in medical psych, neurology, cardiac step down, cardiac surgery, medical-surgical critical care and the neuro intensive care unit.
During her nurse practitioner training, she completed specialized clinical training and heart failure, nephrology, and primary care, further strengthening her comprehensive approach to complex patient care.
She has a strong clinical interest in heart failure, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and coronary artery disease, and provides care across all aspects of clinical cardiology and cardiac surgery. Her approach is calm, empathetic,, culturally aware, and deeply patient centered, with a focus on building trust and partnering with patients in their care. She has committed to delivering compassionate, patient centered care with a strong emphasis on education, prevention, and long-term health management.
She is honored to have been inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau, international Honor Society of Nursing, recognizing her dedication to excellence in nursing practice.
