Dr. Jermaine Myers, M.D., MPH
Cardiology
Dr. Jermaine A. Myers is a dedicated ABIM Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with a passion for serving a diverse patient population. Born in Jamaica and raised in sunny South Florida, he completed his medical education and training in New York. Today, Dr. Myers has come full circle, returning to serve the very community that inspired and nurtured him to pursue medicine.
He graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and minor in Africana Studies from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Myers went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree at Cornell University and received his Master of Public Health at Columbia University in Manhattan. Dr. Myers completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center of Northwell Health System. He served as a Hospitalist in Palm Beach for several years prior to returning to New York to complete Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Buffalo; there, he honed his expertise in the cutting-edge, and dynamic fields of non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, including a wealth of experience in transthoracic, trans-esophageal, stress, and structural echocardiography, nuclear imaging modalities, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI.
As a non-invasive Cardiologist, Dr. Myers is committed to providing excellent care to all patient populations. He is particularly passionate about addressing cardiovascular health disparities in medically-underserved and historically marginalized groups. His expertise in cardiovascular imaging, coupled with his enthusiasm for teaching medical trainees, underscores his commitment to improving healthcare access and outcomes.
Dr. Myers holds Level III training certifications in Echocardiography and Level II training in Nuclear Cardiology. He is Board-Certified in Echocardiography, and is pursuing Board certifications in Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT Imaging. This ensures his patients receive the highest level of diagnostic and treatment expertise.
Beyond his medical pursuits, Dr. Myers cherishes his free time, which he spends enjoying moments with his family and friends, actively volunteering, and exploring the world through travel. His dedication to community activism, advocacy and engagement continues to make a positive impact on the lives of those he serves.
