Cardiology
Jennifer was born and raised in Long Island, NY and began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC in 1997. Her interest in Cardiology began while working and caring for people in both the Cardiothoracic ICU and step-down units. However, her love for Cardiology really started while working in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. She began to appreciate the cardiovascular disease process on a microvascular level and how it affects our lives on a broader scale as complex individuals. Seeing technology, science, and teamwork being used to save or improve someone’s life was a satisfying career goal. After moving to New Jersey, she worked for a private cardiology practice. Her mentor was a Board-Certified Lipid Specialist and it was there that she surprisingly fell in love with lipidology, deciding to pursue her studies and obtain her own certification in clinical lipidology as well. That allowed her to grow as a provider to be able to practice and emphasize the importance of preventive cardiology as well as being able to manage advanced coronary disease and other advanced cardiac disorders. Jennifer is an experienced tennis player and in her spare time she enjoys recreational and tournament play, as well as swimming and biking with her husband and daughter.
