About

Dr Sherry Ellis is board certified in Gastroenterology & Internal Medicine has been practicing gastroenterology for more than 25 years. She graduated college as a member of The Phi Beta Kappa honors society and graduated at the top of her class at NY Medical College as a member Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor society in the field of medicine. She is a recipient of The Janet M. Glascow Memorial Achievement Citation for academic excellence and The Charlotte D. Yudell Memorial Award for her high standards in patient care, pioneering spirit and social awareness.

She did her internship and residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Jacobi Hospital and went on to do her fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. Areas of interest include hemorrhoidal banding, issues pertaining to women’s gastrointestinal health and endoscopy.

Dr explained the findings and would have results in week or two. Her office called 1 week later and explained final results and follow up for future visit. This was my first visit with no referral and was impressed even with outpatient facility.

Made having a colonoscopy less stressful

I had a 6:45am appointment for a procedure. Staff was super helpful and nice I was prepped for the surgery but had to wait in the bed for an hour and a half before I got wheeled into the medical room for the procedure. I watched a few people get rolled into the surgical room before me that arrived way after I did. I was a little annoyed but once they wheeled me into the surgical room everyone there was so nice and Dr Ellis was extremely nice and helpful.

Dr Ellis suggested a colonoscopy instead of colorguard, thank goodness she did. She is professional and made me feel at ease before my procedure.

As a new patient I was pleasantly surprised to experience the most through exam I have ever received from a gastroenterologist Having developed an issue over 15 years ago I have dealt with 2 different gastroenterologist In my opinion,Dr Ellis is the best. I look forward to receiving her careHighly recommended

Appt felt rushed. I did not get to discuss with Dr ellis my stool issues + minor rectal bleeding occurring since feb/March this year.

Very thorough, took time to listen

I've complained about this issue several times to several different doctors and all I was given was a diet to follow with no help. Dr Ellis ordered several tests before she will make a diagnosis and just the fact that she's looking for other things that are causing my symptoms are most appreciated
