About

Jennifer was born and raised in Long Island, NY and began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC in 1997. Her interest in Cardiology began while working and caring for people in both the Cardiothoracic ICU and step-down units. However, her love for Cardiology really started while working in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. She began to appreciate the cardiovascular disease process on a microvascular level and how it affects our lives on a broader scale as complex individuals. Seeing technology, science, and teamwork being used to save or improve someone’s life was a satisfying career goal.

After moving to New Jersey, she worked for a private cardiology practice. Her mentor was a Board-Certified Lipid Specialist and it was there that she surprisingly fell in love with lipidology, deciding to pursue her studies and obtain her own certification in clinical lipidology as well. That allowed her to grow as a provider to be able to practice and emphasize the importance of preventive cardiology as well as being able to manage advanced coronary disease and other advanced cardiac disorders.

Jennifer is an experienced tennis player and in her spare time she enjoys recreational and tournament play, as well as swimming and biking with her husband and daughter.

Reviews

Jennifer, was very through in my exam. And even checked on presriiplons for me. I would definitely recommend her.
Good service
She was very condescending and almost insulting to me. She essentially did nothing when I went there for chest pain. She told me my EKG was normal, but said I had heart disease and should be on a statin. She said she cannot believe that the doctor in that practice who was treating me did not tell me this and start me on the medication due to mild plaque. In her words, she “cannot account for how these doctors practice medicine”. However, I see her notes that she wrote on the portal says abnormal EKG contrary to what she told me at my visit. She refused to acknowledge my serious symptoms I experienced and preferred to just write it off as to indigestion from something I ate. I informed her that this exact situation happened to my mother, and then she died of a heart attack and then told her I would have a stress test and follow up with my dr in that practice, not her. She also made some sarcastic comments about my weight and physical condition, I am very thin and fit. Totally bad visit!
